I recently set up an Asterisk VoIP PBX and got it working across a network. Now I am ready to put an FXO card on it to bring in dial tone. I know I can use the Digium Wildcard, but...
Has anyone been able to make a Dialogic D/41D, or better yet, a D/42D-SL (Nortel QSU61 emulation) card work with Asterisk?

You may be able to get the D41d working as it is meant to accept a loop start analog line. The D42SL is meant to take a proprietary SL1 port from a Nortel PBX card. THus sticking an FXO line on it will not work. ------------------ Business Phone Systems

I've seen generic FXO cards on Ebay for around $10. Not Digium, but they claim to work with Asterisk.

OK, I got the thing working with a Digium FXO card. I have new duties around the office now, so I have had to pull off of it for a while.
Back to the Dialogic card. I just read in another VoIP newsgroup that the D/41D wouldn't have worked anyway. Quoting the NG post:
BTW: The only Dialogic boards supported by Asterisk (because they have a similar design philosophy as the Digium/Zaptel) are those of the JCT family.
