I have inherited a Televantage PBX from the IT guys here who have decided that it not working should be my problem after they have screwed it up.

Joy.

Anyways, I am trying to activate additional trunk licenses, which bombs on activation saying it cant locate the server.

Gotta love licenses smile

So, I then proceed to go to https://activation.vertical.com/activation and activate the licenses ala Manuel. I still get an error message saying there was an error during activation.

So, to all those (which will be many) who know more about Televantage then me, how do I activate these silly trunk licenses?

I have already called the source of these licenses and they say "I dont know" so they have called paracon and I am stuck holding the bag.

Thanks in advance, and yes, i'm trying to be nice with my post here laugh

Sounds like yet another case of VOIP site licenses, seat licenses, fees and activations. I am surprised that at some point, you weren't asked to enter a credit card number. These activations are costly and should have directed you somewhere to make a payment. I don't see how calling Paracon can help; aren't they a supply house?

I'm pretty sure that they are going to require that you purchase these licenses from an authorized Vertical dealer. I don't think that you can buy them on your own.

These licenses were bought through the dealer channel, the dealer e-mailed them to me. What is not working in all of this convoluted mess is the built-in televantage activation scam/scheme.

The dealer I bought the licenses from could not activate them either. They are supposively calling Vertical/Paracon/somebody.
