Paul, I have 2 Panasonic KX-T7425 B sets that need stands and lower cabinets, (Shoe)
The part # on the stand is PSKL1005ZA
and the # on the lower cabinet is PSKF1024 XA

Panasonic lists 2 numbers for each part.
The Stand they show: PSKL1005Z2 STAND and PSKL1005X2 STAND
and for the base or lower cabinet they show:
PSKF1024L2 LOWER CABINET
PSKF1024Y2 LOWER CABINET
Can you help me decipher all this?
I don't know if this client is slamming the phone down or what but these were both wall mounts and the keyholes are all broke up.
Thanks, MrG

Mr. G:

Not to insult your intelligence or experience with Panasonic, but have you tried their national parts center (800-833-9626)? Even though they charge full retail for replacement parts, things like stands are relatively cheap. We stock up on a few dozen of each every time Panasonic comes out with a new model "just in case". Of course, we don't buy cords from them, but difficult parts are better bought at full price now instead of dealing with stupid broken clips that can't be replaced later. Just an idea.

How come there's always enough time to go back and fix it a second time?

You must be having a bad night ED.
These part #s come from Panasonics
national parts center.
No one I spoke with can tell me why there are 2 #s for the same part and they "can't go and get one to look at it".
their suggestion to me was to order both.
As Paul deals with this sort of problem on a daily basis, I thought perhaps he could shed some light on it.
But again, thanks for the input!
MrG

Mr G,
I have the same troubles with Panasonic National Parts. In general, the people that answer the phones are just taking orders and do not know the product at all. Frankly, confronted with the same situation, I would just order both.

Ed,
The problem was not that he did not know about Panasonic parts. The trouble is that the web site often offers multiple part numbers for the same part. Some are just slight revisions, some are actually quite different. Then, the salespeople on the phone arre just sitting in a call center taking orders. In some cases, getting the right part can be a nightmare. Been there, done that.
