Were they day/night? If so how did the night vision look?

The Linux boxes are more stable, but we use a lot of WinXP boxes to be able to stream the audio and listen to recorded audio across the Internet to remote monitoring locations. There is a supplier here in Dallas that has done very well for us on the WinXP boxes. If you need info let me know and I'll shoot you a link and contact info as I don't think we're supposed to post that openly.

BTW, supercircuits is good. That is where most spy shops buy there supplies to build into hidden devices.

Mike, they were not day/night. They were used indoors in a fairly well light area, used more of a deterrent then anything but still produced a nice image, can not remember the model they were domes though

We have been using Toshiba (IK-6400a) cameras. They have a good picture, but the D/N does work real good.

Mike:
Those cameras don't have infrared so the night mode only means black & white at a lower lux. They still need a good night light source to work decently.

No, through the day they are great. But when night comes they go black. In places where there is fairly good light.

I mean in places where you could walk and see fairly well of the night.

One of the installs I am thinking of is a car dealership where they have a lot full (50) of 1000watt m/h lamp post. And behind the service shop it is still light enough to see pretty good.
And we have auto shutter lens.

But the cameras go black after dark.

Wow, that's not good. I haven't used that particular model, the specs look good. They're not a cheap camera either. Good to know that though. Thanks.
