I am looking for a wireless mic that can be hooked up to a 30 watt amp with 5 speakers. The amp is also receiving a feed from a infocus projector. I guess a wireless mic that you could clip on verses hold would work better as well. I am working for hospital now and they have contracts with grainger and cdw. A plus if they sell them there. I didn't order the amp. It is arriving in a day or 2.

Check out B&H Photo-Video out of NYC.
I use and recommend Audio-Technica almost exclusively.
This unit has both mic and line outputs and a beltpack with lapel mic. I have three of these in use at the Student Union where I work.

Based on past experience, I cannot recommend Nady. I consider them to be low grade junk. I have not seen anybody using them in professional use in many years.

I will admit that my use of Nady equipment was 25 years ago, but at the time, I was having endless problems with brand-new, top of the line Nady equipment, operating side by side with older, well abused Cetec-Vega equipment. The Cetec-Vega stuff worked, the Nady stuff just gave me headaches.

They may have gotten better, but I haven't heard anybody speak well of them in a long long time.

On the other hand,

Shure, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, AKG, are all good brands, and they all offer several different grades of wireless mics, ranging from the weekend musician, to the broadway production/rock-n-roll tour level.

Lectrosonics is one of the benchmark standards of the film and television production industry, and they make excellent equipment, but are probably well outside your price range.

Beware of used equipment. The FCC recently banned the use of wireless equipment operating in the 700Mhz range, effective mid June 2010. The manufacturers are offering trade-in programs, but I would not be at all surprised to see some units sold to unsuspecting buyers on ebay.

zzounds.com was chiseled onto my vendor blacklist a number of years ago, due to heavy spamming. I had never done business with them, or requested any information from them, and had a very hard time getting them to remove me from their spam list.

On the other hand, B&H has a good rep. I've never ordered from them personally, but folks who have report that they are very professional, and are good to deal with.

Another vendor that I recommend is Full Compass Systems (www.fullcompass.com).

I also order from Markertek and Parts Express when I need connectors and wire. All good places.
