Thanks to users who helped me in my pervious post about the Executone Level 10 pw

Now to my problem

I am going to be swapping out a Exeutone cpu 2.52 that is no longer able to communicate localy or remotely i have tried everything to try and communicate with this thing and theres no way in.

I have two spare CPU's with the same rev level

The cpu currently in use has VMS 324 BACD500 CID and time for options. ( i know this because i looked at a old procomm screen shoot)

The two spare CPU's do NOT have the VMS options enabled

I have been told by a few local companys that used to install Isotec that the CPU's have all the options installed all you need to do is enable them.
They of course have no idea how to enable them and couldnt recommend anyone that would know.

So does anyone know how to enable these options and if so could you pm me or email me and let me know how please.

the options are ' downloads 'the only Option that could be enabled had to do with the reports on ACD.

Used to be able to copy CPU's from one to another, E-Tone changed all that when they went with the Eclipse software...

I have been told by the local people that Executone isint around anymore and there is no support for my cpu anywhere.

To bad cause i have two perfecty good cpu's that work fine except for no voice mail option ..GRRRRRR

If you install a EVX or VXC voice mail cards in your phone system, the VMS option will appear on the main menu.
If you have an older VMS (VX2 or VX3) contact me for further information.

With your problem of no I/O ports the remote modem as well as the local ports all don't work?
I have seen where the cable coming out of the backplane or at the transient surge suppresor lifted of and the ports "don't" work.Have you checked that first?

I believe if you contact Aable Communications they can help you out with the options.As far as I know they are the Executone support since Inter-Tel discontinued the product line.
You use to be able to enable the options (if you knew how) until version 8 software when they went to encrypted downloads and the downloads only on cabinet 1 cpu.

the cable was the first thing i checked
Even swaped it out with a spare cable just in case.
didnt make a diff still no comms but if i swap CPU's i get comms with the new CPU right away.
So i know its not a cable or a back plane issue.

I guess i am gonna have to start hunting around on Ebay for a CPU with WMS

Give Aable Communications a call. I believe that they can still get you all of the options.
If that does not work, try Main Resource.
