Arthur -

Exactly. NY Tel used to use S/C here and there - Cord boards, 584 panels, sets etc.

I'm not quite sure why, but they did. I never saw them use ITT, but we used to find Stromberg stuff all over.

I got harassed by a NY Tel foreman to "get my stuff out of his way" when it was his stuff. I think they had special codes for non-weco equipment.

Sam: Wasn't there a particularly bad strike at the WECO Kearny plant in the late 1960's? I would think that would have been the reason for NY Tel having bought S/C hardware. S/C was a huge supplier of 1A2 to the military, so they likely had enough inventory and manufacturing capacity to get NY Tel. over the hump. Sorry for the hijack Arthur.

Art, I have a 1700 series S/C phone and I hate it.... S/C used NUMBERS instead of the regular terminal stampings. I had a devil of a time getting mine back together. have you had this problem too?? John
