I am pretty new to the Executone system so bare with me. I have a user that shares her phone with another user. They have two seperate VM buttons that automatically dials their voicemail and all you have to do is enter their password. The other user that is sharing the phone has the same setup. Seem though that now the config on the Phone system was changed and those two buttons were deleted. When you call the main phone number its still states "press 1 for user X, press 2 for user y" you can leave them a message but on the phone it self I cannot retreive it. Can anyone help me recreate this setup? Thx much...

The secret is the voicemail button (830 key). Subcode of 0000 means that the mailbox matches the extension. Put in a different subcode to have it use a different mailbox. For example, 830 w/subcode of 3205 will light when 3205 has a message. Push the button to access mailbox 3205. Mike

Ok, that makes sence almost as a bridged extension for voicemail. So now the trick is to find the mailbox that these two users belong to. Will the subcode have to be the vm extension?

To figure out the mailboxes that were in use (I'm surprised that the users don't know this - they never checked for messages from outside?) you'll need to get into voicemail programming and look at CCR boxes - one will reflect the "Press 1 for user X, 2 for user Y" - and you'll see the mailboxes on that form. Thank you i will check for the CCR boxes. This executone was really not well managed and now that i have aquired it, i am barely trying to keep it alive long enough for it to get replaced. User at that plant are low maintenance so i guess they never did get messages from outside. it would have helped alot if they did know it.
