New business - old phone system on the wall has no phones. J1 and J2 connectors are cut down.

1) What model phones should I order? It's going to be a bakery / sandwich shop. I need 3 phones. One possible wall mounted. (Keep in mind I will need one phone to be able to do programming too.)

2) This looks just like a Vodavi 816. Is it the same?

3) Does this KSU do toll restriction?

Jack is on the MDF for ext 100. Can I use the Vodavi 816 manual?

I'll check back later...

Thanks!

Encore CX Phones.

part numbers start with 299XXX

Look for phones on e-bay. any of them can be wall mounted, no extra parts needed.

Program thru ext 100. get a display phone.

does 'simple' toll restriction

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

If you buy those phones on E-Bay, the buttons will likely be shot and you will have to get them repaired anyway. You are better off buying the phones refurbished from a reputable company like Sundance (link at the top of the page).

The executone ecx program is close to the vodavi it just has a different password and some of the codes are different, you will need a display phone to program the system. It will do toll restriction but is a little limited. If you get a phone with a bad dial you can try and clean the back of the dial and the PC board with alchole

Thanks, you guys .... I'd prefer to buy "real" refurbed phones, as you suggest.

I appreciate your time in answering my questions.

I'll fire it up 1st and see how it comes up, "squared". Maybe I'll have the Telco do the toll restrict or account codes.

And thanks to Sundance, once again. It's always a huge help to get started on the right track when I'm looking for a solution on a vintage system.

Keep up the good work!
