Sorry, no test set.... I'm not a telecom guy so I have little knowledge in this area.... Here is what I do know so far though.... Very often 10-30% of the time the phone rings like one time then disconnects.... the other 60-90% of the time it works fine..... I changed the Trunk card with 2 different cards, and no change from symptom... Changed the extension cards just for grins and no changes.....
It is possible since I didn't do all the wiring that the Tip/Ring from CO lines might be reveresed..... how do I tell, and would it cause this symptom? ALso the CID MLX unit is hooked in parallel with the lines, this shouldn't cause problems right? and finally, I have extra cards for everything, is there other cards I can shotgun in to see if they fix it? and if so which ones...
any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED>>>>
ALSO on a PM.... I see J.J. is in Springfield Illinois..... this is just 100 miles south of us... Maybe PM me with your rates so I can decide if it is better to just hav e you come fix it and be done with it..... A qualified tech is ALWAYS better than me poking around at it...
