Hello I am having a huge problem onboard CVN 65 with the phone system.
First problem is Executone is installed on the ship and know one knows how to repair or do anything with this system. It was installed in 2001 and everyone who knew anything is long gone.
We have lines that do not work, we have phones that do not work and we have no way of fixing them. We need a Tech to come out to the ship and take a look at and repair the system.
If anyone in Norfolk VA is an expert please reply or send me a pm on how to contact you.

What type of Executone system is it perhaps I can give you some suggestions on what to check.

I believe it is a legacy system. I am not a phone guy lol I know nothing about them. I am just trying to hlep the ship cause its about to be in a lot of truble when it fails.

Look on the phones or the KSU (Key Service Unit)
They should have some kind of model number on the phones and on the KSU it should have the system type. Feel free to use email response. If it's something I can help you with will be glad to assist.

Sounds like you're with the air group! Contact the ships company IC's for assistance with this. If they can't effect repairs they can request an assist from SIMA or whatever it's called these days and this group would have a list of vendors authorized base access.
