We have a Mitel SX200 LW15. We want to network via a frame relay connection to another similar Mitel system.
Our questions are as follows"
1) Shall we tell users to dial an extension or dial the remote office phone number as they normally do (9+1 XXX XXX XXXX).
2) I can see how the ARS would handle the normal dialing, use a list, 1st use the VOIP, then T1, then LS/GS trunks.. However, Will the cisco FXO input produce a dialtone as if it were a trunk? I've also seen FXS inputs where If I understand correctly, the cisco port is an analog extension.
3) If I understand correctly, when the CISCO FXS/FXO port detects dtmf, it analyzes the number and then sends a signal to ring the appropriate router port at the remote site. If it doesn't analyze the number, can you always associate a certain FXS/FXO port with a remote router (site).
I am not CISCO literate at all, my responsibilities will be the PBX but I want to discuss this with the MIS dep't intelligently
Your input is highly appreciated

You might want to put this into the Mitel category, you will get a faster reply.
