I assume you pressed ENTER twice at the password prompt.. that's the default way to get in...pretty tricky huh. I don't know of any 'def' passwords for it...worse case scenario of course is to default it by moving the battery jumper and powering on/off ...then the 'ENTER twice' should work...have fun re-programming the whole thing then...of course.

The GMX-48 has no default password. By default, there is no password. However, the system can be set to request a password bur with the no actual password assigned. This is the scenario when just pressing the [ENTER] key at the password promt will do the trick.
Other options are deafulting the database or the manufacturer's "backdoor" password if you can obtain it.
