I can't find where the user can change his password for the voicemail. It is currently set as his ext. I tried in basic and then four, but that must be something else. Any help would be appreciated. ted

No, I thought I had it with a post by Derrick, but once the password is set in programming the customer dials that password + # and can retrieve his voicemail. But there seems to be no option at that point to chnage it. I know I'm not seeing something! ted

Passwords are not changed in the voice mail itself. They are set from the phone menu...menu 1 +4 then up to password change...its in the station user guide.
Or an easier method is to use trans/pgm and dial 32 to change password.
Remember the voice mail and the phone system are the same system, unlike the STS where the vm and phone system are seperate entities sharing the same backplane.

OK, trans/pgm 32 did the trick because it gave the option to change the station password or the voice mail password. However, unless I'm doing something wrong, which happens often, basic menu 1 plus menu 4 gives me only a choice to change the station autorization code. And after accidently changing that to a number I instantly forgot, I had to go to table 227 to change it. I have no idea how you new about trans/pgm 32, but Im extremely greatful. ted

I downloaded a quick start quide from the Vertical website...a lot of the user guides that come with the phones are not up to date.
