In order for outbound notification to work you need the following:
Unused trunks removed from the main trunk group.
The option has to be enabled of course.
Passwords for message retrieval have to be enabled and the password programmed by either admin or the user.
The external number programmed for the box.
Those three things have to be in place for the system to attempt a call.
If the user receives a call, answers it but does not enter password and retrieve all messages, the system will not call back again until the user calls in and empties their box.

Attempts seem to be hinged on a ring no answer. That's the way it worked for me today anyway. When the system called me, and I listened to the prompt but did not enter password it did not call me again.

It also has to be a real mailbox in the assigned extension range. It may also need to have a real phone attached. Virtual boxes in the 200 range won't work.
I use one for our emergency service mailbox and have it set for two notifications. So far, it has worked perfectly. Whatever problems Deltron had haven't happened to me. I am running 3.5

I used this feature with my shop system and found the audio was just too bad to be a viable option.

I am using version 3 which requires a real 1xx phone to be attached for outcall notify to work. I hope this is changed in ver 4.
