Just to update everyone...it took a couple weeks of going back and forth with support troubleshooting because we couldn't get a hold of Toni, but we finally got this working as of Monday. (Went through installing a new ISP, and RMA'ing a VOIB board, but in the end it was programming)
If anyone needs help with this particular application as well, feel free to send me a PM and we can compare notes.

After dealing with an issue with MBX to SBX networking since November of 2012, 9 months after install, today we finally resolved the issue. I wanted to share the update so those that may have a similar issue can read this and cut down their troubleshooting time.
The customer discussed in the original post of this thread upgraded their Comcast modem to a DOCSYS3 modem and broke their NET calling between VOIB boards. After spending countless hours troubleshoot with Comcast/Charter and Vertical, Vertical tech Patrick had us upgrade both the MBX and SBX to the most recent version of firmware. The SBX is now on 4.0Ai and the MBX is on 2.5Ch.
For those wondering what the symptoms we were troubleshooting, here are the cliff notes:
- MBX was using the 4 channels on the MPB, the SBX had the base 4-Pot VOIP card - One end had Comcast, the other Charter communications - One NET call could be placed in either direction, but then it would take 2-3 minutes before the PBXs would free up the channels and allow another call across the NET. - Multiple NET calls at once were impossible, the screen simply errored and displayed 'invalid' - Installing the available Cisco DPC3939B model DOCSYS3 modem appeared to help versus the SMC brand. The Netgear also helped, but there are other issues with those specific models. Both Charter and Comcast swapped the modems to these models.
The rest of the configuration in both systems remained unchanged from once we got this working in April of 2012. Silly that after all this time it was a software upgrade that resolved the issue, but I'm just glad that it ultimately was this easy.
The 4.0Ai was released in August and the MBX 2.5Ch was released in October of this year.
