Has anyone hooked up a smartphone using a Bria App as a SIP extension off a 7100 ?

Samsung said it could be done, but now I can't get the info from them......

I do this all the time, it's very easy.
I'm assuming you want to use this remotely, if not then you can ignore the port forwards and public ip stuff below

It's best to run 4.60b software if possible due to increased password security on the sip extensions.

You'll need a static ip on the internet connection

You will need a 3rd party sip extension license.

You will have to change one of the slots on one of the virtual cabinets to be sip extensions.

Then assign extension number in dial number plan
setup your id/password for the sip extension (note the extension number and user id have to be the same)

Then setup what port your going to run the sip extension off (if different from default, i have started doing that due to high counts of attempted hacking)

Then setup the required port forward for the sip and mgi in the router

Set private with public and enter the public ip address

Then configure the bria app with the above details and away you go

I don't know how we ever got you nameless, but it sure is good to have someone as good as you are with all the Samsung VOIP stuff on the board.
