We have the same problem around here with Time Warner Cable. I just warn the customers if they ask before they switch service to TWC. We have spent hours with vendor meets and still no solutions.

Thanks Scott, glad to know we're not imagining things.
So here's another interesting tidbit. Sent the cabinet out to Aztec once last month, it came back with the same issue. I checked up on the repair report and they do a standard upgrade on components and software for the 4000-00 cabinets. Sent it out again, Aztec did the same repair and now the problem is gone on our test bench.
This would now really lean me towards an environmental/electrical problem at the customer's site causing damage to components. Of course though, issues are only detected when connected to Comcast lines and not a traditional POTS line.
