Hello all,
I am trying to find a way to block outgoing calls. I know *67 won't work on the Inter-Tel system and the other topics on the board don't seem to be fixing my problem. Any ideas?

Are you asking to block calls or block outbound caller ID?

Do you know if you are using a PRI for your phone lines or traditional copper "POTS" lines? That's going to be a determining factor here.

I can only speak from experience as a PRI user here as well because I don't know how each service provider handles this. After reading your post, I direct-selected a trunk on our PRI (using XO Communications as our provider) and tried to use *67 plus the number. The call failed.
If your system is allowing you to directly-select trunks for outgoing calls (not just dialing 9-that's another issue) and *67 doesn't work, then you should contact your local service provider and ask them if there is any way that this feature can be used.
Generally speaking, once you use a PRI, all of those "consumer-level" features go away since your service is not coming from an end office, it's coming from a toll switch; a completely different animal with different attributes and capabilities.
It's still worth a phone call to your carrier because I am sure you are not the only customer needing the use of this feature.

We had this same problem. It had to be solved by the local Telco - they can change your outgoing lines to show basically whatever you want on the Caller ID.
