I am working on a LG Ericsson iPECS 50A 5.5Dd with a Digital Extension Gateway with LDK7024BD phone sets.
When I place a call on hold the phone automatically selects a ICM line. You can hear dial tone for about 5 seconds then it changes to the fast re-order tone and the LCD display reads "waited too long to dial".
During this time the caller is on hold and is hearing the MOH, no problem there.
The problem is-
What if my client dosent want to make another call.... What if they are choking to death on a bagel and they just need the caller to hang in there for a few minutes while they yack it back up???
Thanks in advance for the help.

I may be missing something...but why don't they just hang the receiver up if they're not going to make another call?
What you're describing is the normal operation of the iPECS.

The timer of 5 seconds you are waiting is the Prome Line timer and has value of 1-20 seconds. This timer is related to the Prime Line settting of Warm/Hot and will do what ever is set in the Idle Line Selection after the timer expires when the extension is set for Warm, which by default is Nothing so it plays the dialing to late as Larry had suggested why not just hang up.
