Get a long usb cable also. You let out "I had to take unit off the wall"
Bad idea at any time.

I need help also (TVA50). I get a message that says, the system cannot find any usb device connected to your computer, when I try to connect to the TVA Maintenance Console (Ver.2.0 Mode). I have try diffent computers and get the same message. I will pay for tech support if you need me to. Thanks

Get tech support either onsite or remote. I would recommend but probably not allowed here.
Locate the nearest Panasonic dealer, he may be of help. On what operating system are you trying to install the USB drivers from you version 2.o TVA Maintenance console.

Download the KX-TVA50 Maintenance console version3.0 online. It's available online and supports Win7 USB drivers.
Best of luck.
