why wouldn't you default the system ? that's always a good first step when installing a used system
programming a partner from default is a 15 min or so job

I will default the system and see if that helps when I get an opportunity. I've been pretty busy at work lately, and with school.

Update: I forgot to post here that the problem is solved. I had accidentally set extension 12 as a hotline to extension 12, hence the busy signal! Duh!
