Hello everyone, long-time "lurker" first-time poster here,

Have a customer that is using a XTS v1.1 system strictly as an intercom/paging system. Current cards are MPB1, MSIB, LCOBC, and 1 DTIB24. They have 2 Viking W-3000 callboxes, one at front door and one at the rear, landed on CO 1 and CO 2. Have verified ring voltage of 110-117 vdc from the call box when button is pressed, at the box and the 66-block. LCOB led lights but stations do not ring or even indicate a line ringing. Current ring asasign is for st100 and 118 for CO line 1. Line 1 button is programmed.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I am missing?

The tech who originally set this system up are no longer with the company, and it is one of those that we very seldom have any issues with so their thoughts/technique did not get passed along.

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. Did you use your butt set or a 2500 set to test the W-3000? I would have more confidence in a standard 1A ringer for this product. Keep it simple. Then and only then, would I continue and examine the phone system.

2. The next step would be to frog a real phone line onto the CO Port and continue from there. If that doesn't work, then I would move on to the KSU.

3. Since the XTS is FP1.1, your problem is probably because the memory support battery is shot and the database got corrupted during a power interruption.

Thanks Dave, tested the doorbox and all voltages were proper and would ring a butt set.

Finally traced the issue to after a complete re-init of the system it would "default" to way more cards and the wrong types of cards than the system had. Wrong LCOB and it wouldn't ring.

Rookie type mistake...:(
