If you have the space to spare. use an area that will not be used for storage, and has plenty of good lighting. and proper heating and cooling.

We moved 80 person company and half implemented Inter-Tel to a new building. We left behind our old phone system, brought call center onto the Inter-Tel system including about a dozen ACD groups, setup many workstations, servers, new phone service, new Internet service, new furniture, 8000 other details.
It went very well. Why? A 1200 line MS project plan with every last detail worked out, a team of 5 (one from every department) dedicated to the move and each responsible for various areas of the move. 6 month planning and a budget.
The lesson? Planning is crucial. Involvement by every department is crucial. Line up your service providers for the new location and critical vendors far ahead of time. Get whatever can be installed early installed and tested and re-tested. Our vendor for example brought a test PBX out to the new office to be sure that it would work with the PRI's installed by communications vendor. We bought small firewall and new switches and had Internet access and part of the new LAN up a month ahead of time to be sure that was working.
Do everything you can do as early as possible to leave fewer things for the actual move time.
I'd say that we did about 10 times as much work as the movers and about twice as much as any of our vendors. I've been involved in 8 office moves now and the few that weren't planned like I described went badly. The ones that were planned early and thouroughly went great.
