I have an SBX (running 3.5 SW) and have a 3824 set at home over my LAN. I can no longer get the 3824 set to show me the call log to lookup CID's. I had it working at one point, then don't know what I did, but it stopped, but if I Use a feature button, programmed with "57" It takes the programming, but when you use it, it says "ACCESS DENIED" I have checked the station programming to make sure the CID is turned on. When a call rings, the CID does show up, just can't go back and scroll through the CID records.

What am I doing wrong here? Any thoughts?

The manual says the feature ONLY works if the button is programmed, so it sounds like you just need to reprogram the button. However, the strange thing is that it only gives instructions for the 7208D and 7224D phones. It sort of leads you to believe it doesn't work on the voip telephones, but that doesn't sound right to me. Another interesting thing is that the installation manual states that the only supported voip telephones are the 7008, 7024, and 7024LD, so go figure.

3824 and lip7024d- are the same phone...vc3824 was a kit with power supply old part number. There is only one admin option to make call log work..and that is pgm 160, where you set the number of lists per station. All other options are set at the phone. Just program the button (remember to hit hold/save) and that's it. The programming guide does mention that only the 8 and 24 button digital sets support the call log feature.

Thanks for the help, but nothing helped. I do have an IP7024 phone, not a 3824. Double checked the PGM 160, have it set for 50, and I guess that must have been right since it works on my 4024 sets. Went into the Flex button programmed, and the button said station Pgm. Changed it via the programming tool to say Call Log. Checked it, still says "Invalid" Then I reprogrammed the button from the phone to be Pgm 57. Still says "Invalid". And I forgot, it didn't say access denied, it says invalid.

Maybe it just doesn't work on IP, but my wife says that it did at one time.
