Can anyone tell me what Sys alarm # 112 is on the InterTel 5000 series? We had a system outage yesterday and InterTel is saying that the problem was caused by the fact that the 5200 couldn't communicate with several remote nodes. How can a lack of communication between nodes suddenly take an entire building down?

We are relatively new to the 5000 series, so I just need to know what happened in terms that I can explain to our CFO. Any help and/or info will be appreciated

Ill assume these error logs are the same as the Axxess. I havent seen or worked on the 5000 series.

112 means system is low on dynamic memory. How does this apply to your situation? I guess its because your system is programmed to see these other nodes and there is memory thats being used for this. When the nodes went down, your site couldnt communicate and ran low on dynamic memory. Im guessing here, but it sounds good for your boss. smile

In addition, whenever the Axxess has a lot of errors like a T1 down, the systems CPU sometimes cant handle this bombardment of errors and runs out of memory causing a system reset.

What kind of system do you have?

You should make a new topic as this one is almost 4 years old.

I suspect this will fix this as well

System/IP Settings/ Advanced IP Settings
Turn off SIP UDP Listening port and it will stop the error your system is looking for SIP from the outside world and not getting it
