Was told by provider T.38 fax transmission must be enable.First what field is it and and anyone else came across this problem.Fax using port off switch with sip trunks.

First, even with T.38 if you don't have a dedicated circuit to your sip provider you are wasting your time if it's over the open internet. Save yourself the heartaches and get a POTS for the fax OR use a service to email/send them to you.

Ditto. I've never seen faxes work correctly with SIP providers.

Dell. T.38 fax is set in PRG 84.13.50 and 51. Like Deltron and Coral Tech say T.38 is a hit and miss technology from what Ive seen down here..
