Reminds me of the suspicious missed calls I got before. It was suspicious because there were 7 missed calls but the caller never left a message. I decided to call back and check but there were only voice prompts and at the end of it, was only music playing. So after a good 20 minutes of waiting, I hung up. When I got my phone bill at the end of the month, I got an enormous charge for an international call. I had to file dispute to get refunded.

So if you guys get calls from anonymous phone numbers, be wary. You don't know who's on the other end. If the call turns out a scam, report the phone number to Callercenter.com to raise a warning.

We have one that targets businesses by using the exchange prefix so if you have call display you think its somebody else calling you from your Centrix group.

Years ago I received a call and the mechanical voice requested my opinion on a topic, so I quickly grabbed a book.
Somewhere there is a digital copy of me reading Chapter One:

Once had a telemarketer convinced I would buy windows for my Winnebago only if he married my daughter..
The old NEC's had a horrible MIDI version of greensleaves or something. many telemarketers had to listen to that for many o minute while I went to go and find Bill.

I get so many sales calls here that if it's not an internal extension calling me/I am expecting a call back from a vendor, I normally just don't answer.
