I know both systems very well. I like the IP Office better but it is a tad bit more expensive. The phones on the Avaya are far more better.

I would have to agree. IMHO, the Avaya IPO is a much better system than NEC but does cost more.

I disagree, NEC has the edge over Avaya, from their small up to enterprise systems.

Slight detour...Most systems on the market today are good choices. Much depends on matching the customer's needs to the feature set. But all of that is pointless if the system is installed by someone who is not properly trained.

Well said. I think most of us also agree that finding a vendor that suits you is just as important if not more so than the actual products we/they sell.
Is the OP asking about any significant differences? It can be like asking about the differences in cars.
