Hello all! This is my first post as I'm a sysadmin for a company and have little experience with intertel products. I do have a few questions:
1) Call 1 flashing. On one of our user's phones, the call 1 button will blink every few seconds. In the past I have changed the digital port keyset then readded the phone to rest of the groups the phone is associated with. I was wondering if there was as easier way to accomplish this? Model 550 4400
2) Our receptionist pressed the record button and now it stays illuminated. Whenever you press the button it goes to the inbox. I was afraid about removing the receptionist extension as I'm sure they are many more details that goes into readding this extension. I'm not sure of the model number, but I beleive it's the executive.

Here are some manuals that may help. **Please, NO links to tech manuals are permitted**
Depending on the age of your system there should be a disc with all manuals and software. If you don't have it you will need to contact your local office.
Hope the link helps,

By reseting the digital port to none, back to keyset, and adding the extension to rest of the groups it has fixed the first problem. I'm still stuck with the second one though. To add fuel to the fire, they just told me whenever a specific extension calls, it rings once then automatically goes to speaker. Anyone have any last minute adivce before I call intertel?

Adding/Deleting the device is a very bad workaround to fix your problems. The first thing is to verify what the buttons are actually programmed to do. 1. Dial 396 2. Press the keys in question, the display will show you what the button is programmed to do If that all checks out, then you could have a bad phone (likely sticky buttons resulting from a foreign substance being spilled in the phone [coke, coffee]) The record a call will terminate when the call ends A Call key should not be illuminated unless there is a call active on that station As far as the speakerphone on IC calls, there are two settings that dictate how this operates Handsfree configures how a station will receive an IC call. Ring Intercom Always configures how a station sends an IC call. If Handsfree is enabled on the rec'ving station assuming that Ring Intercom Always is not enabled on the calling station, the call will come through handsfree

Inversely if handsfree is disabled it makes no difference the setting of ring intercom always on the calling station.
