Arthur is correct, however, when Verizon essentially abandons their responsibility, then you have to take matters into your own hands.

If I were you, I would construct a MDF using 66M50 blocks and terminate all the blue station cables on one side of the blocks and, using bridging clips, run jumpers from the other side of the M block to the protector. This is what Verizon should have done from the beginning. The whole situation could have been avoided if Verizon would have done their job.

In fairness, this terminal was originally installed by GTE and at a time when they were THE only phone company there. Only their technicians would have been called out to service this and they were trained back in those days. It is only a mess now because of the fact that anybody with a screwdriver is now a telephone man.

It looks to me as if they had originally run a 50 pair riser cable and terminated it on the output (blind) terminals on the right side of the block. Jumpers were then placed across to the incoming BPs. At least that's how it was originally installed and that wasn't too bad. Since that day back in the 70's, many hands have been in there. I'm willing to bet that the cover is missing too.

Correct guess EV607797. GTE was the original CLEC in this area until the last decade or so, I see these BEP's all over town, the Cover is always missing on all of them as well. Since calling both the bldg owner and the sparkie on their $#! yesterday a bunch of drama has unfolded. Verizon does not want anything to do with it and I'm stuck in the middle. I'm getting some kind of documentation to protect myself and $$ before I move forward on this fiasco. Thanks for all's input guy's. I'm taking some of your suggestions.
