Axxess 5.346 Inter-Tel
I have a phone in the office that is has System Alarm #10 - X1135 off hook. That is not this phones extension. Resetting the phone does not eliminate the problem.
I have not seen this alarm before. Any idea's??
Thank You,
Troy

that alarm indicates that x1135 is in an off hook condition and is the source of the the alarm. The phone that is displaying the alarm is flagged as an administrator and all administrator phones will recieve alarm messages regardless of the source of the alarm. Your trouble is with x1135, if it is not physically off hook, it is likely a bad hook switch in the phone itself.

Can I remove the admin feature from the phone receiving the alarm message in order to clear it? Will that take care of the issue. I went into the flags and changed the "display system alarms" to no. that did not help.
1135 is not off the hook. Is replacing that phone the only fix if indeed it does have a bad hook switch.
thanks for the reply
Thank You,

Clear the alarm on any fone that is showing it by entering 'Infinity' 9850. If the alarm comes back, then there is a problem w/ the fone that is shown as off-hook.

Do not turn off display system alarms, that is a security issue expecially for 911 and personally I would want at least a phone to display alarm messages to indicate system failures or immenent ones anyway. You can take the phone apart, the Inter-tel sets use an optical hookswitch, you can likely fix it if you feel so inclined. I have seen them become 'un-aligned' if you will from over zealous hang up usage (i.e. slamming the phone down). Not to suggest that has happened but something to check.
