I have a school with a very old Simplex/Bogen talkback system and Dukane 9935a speakers. They would like to add two more speakers to the system. There are enough switches in the Bogen MCP35 Unit, but what type of speakers will work in this scenario. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You will need speakers with a 25 volt matching transformer on the back.

Thanks for the response, and forgive my ignorance on this system, as it was probably installed before I was born, but is this simply a two wire setup as in a one-way system, and the SBA225 room selector panel handles the magic of making the speaker a microphone for talkback?

Speakers make good microphones. All you have to do is connect it the the INPUT of an amplifier. The "magic" is simply a switch that transfers the speaker to the output or the input depending on whether you are talking or listening. It's a basic intercom setup.

Mickamg, for lack of a better explanation...yes. The magic is actually inside the MCP35 master panel and not in the switch bank. You do not need anything other than an industry standard 25-volt loudspeaker such as the Dukane model 5A607.
