Hi everyone,

There are something wrong with our IPK II that we are using.
Sometimes it suddenly reboots, and all the phones' power down.
Do you guys experienced the same issue?
I hope I can solve the issue by upgrading the firmware.

Could you guys tell me which is the newest firmware version of this system? And where can I download the fireware?

Upgrading the IPK II is not the same as the SV8100/9100. You have to copy the files to a compact flash card and then insert the card onto the CPU II first. From past experience, we had a heck of a time locating a 128MB CF card. Had to buy the one from NEC.

From the IPK II upgrade manual
Required Equipment
 PCPro or WebPro
 Blank Compact Flash no larger than 128MB. Compact Flash must be Type I compact flash and in FAT16 format.
 Required Firmware Package file (provided by NEC)

can anyone help me with the nec aspire. have it installed by a client about 10-15 years old. VoIP is connected via Quantum BRI gateways. have endless problems with call dropping and no calls

I registered an account and tried to find the firmware, but there are only for 2 products: SL1100 and DSX. I couldn't find the firmware for IPK II. Could you tell me about that more detailed?

Very helpful for me.

After I get the newest firmware of IPK II, I will try to upgrade it. But now my work is finding the newest version of its firmware. If you know that, could you tell how (where) to get the newest firmware of IPK II? Thank you very much!

1.61 or 2.11 depending on your current version 1 or 2. Provide a PM link and I will try to get it to you.

If possible, can I upgrade the firmware to 2.11? If yes, what should I pay attention?

A list of issues resolved with 2.11

"When CF/Busy (Off Premise) and DND are set at the same time and the station is called, the display shows incorrectly at the calling station.

When ACD agent places a call on hold a second ACD call will come in
.
Direct select a trunk and dial 911. The call will hang-up on that trunk, grab a different trunk and dial. (Condition: PRG99-01-66 to 1,).

System will dial 911 on an inbound call when it should not.

Telco account code not recognized with a Virtual Extension CF All off Premise on ISDN-PRI.

Account Code entry not working properly under the following condition.

BLF Indication on a DSS console stops working.

Call forwarding across CCISoIP does not work under the following condition.

IP station getting one way speech path after a sequence of events.

User handset volume settings are not retained if outgoing trunk line preference is enabled.

System Reset Condition - for systems upgrading to 2.10J the following condition may occur when making and outgoing call using an ISDN line, the system will RESET.

PRT Issue - when the system sends more than a 64byte packet the PRT will not send the correct packet and the PRT may lock up. (May require PRT Firmware upgrade.)

No CPN over CCIS when name display assigned for station.

CPU stops responding periodically.

ISDN PRI locks up weekly.

Internal Paging having no speech path.

Sending CPN enhancement (911 call and Normal calls.)

Calls transferred over CCIS to a virtual show no caller ID.

Cannot route digits * through ARS.

Call Forward - Centrex.

System Freezes.

PRI calls not completing on a forward all off premises.

When the user Ring Transfer to CTI SLT/VM then the Offering Call remained.

Station in DND rings when trunk or internal call is transferred to it.

Queued Calls to a Department Group will not connect to a member who comes available.

Vitrtual Extension assigned as a DSS is having BLF indication going out when DSS target extension accesses a trunk call.

Toll restriction does not work while Behind PBX is flagged on non-Centrex lines.

When Privacy Mode Toggle Option is enable on trunks, and a call is placed on that trunk, it disables speech path on an internal page.

SIP station receiving Registration error 480.

SNMP PRI traps are not functioning properly.

Wrap Mode Status on DSS Console Incorrect.

DSS BLF Indication.

Digits being pulsed when calling external voicemail.

Telco call forwarding on BRI does not recognize *72.

Failure on Incoming calls."



But you do need a license code for the upgrade to work
"Note3: IPK II CPU software 2.11 requires CPU Feature License Version v2000. If the CPU is not licensed for Feature License Version v2000, the upgrade to 2.11 will be unsuccessful. To find the CPU Feature License Version, see the Feature Activation section of PC Pro 2.10. PC Pro 2.10 is compatible with CPU version 2.11 and older."
