Here is a quirky one:

IES32 VM – sometimes callers are in the middle of leaving a message and this will happen: “Please leave a message after the tone” it’ll beep, then only a second later a female voice comes on and says:

“Please hold, your message was not recorded, please hold” and then they get bounced back to the receptionist.

It is random and not happening on every call. Can be local or long distance. Can be through the AA or a transferred call from the receptionist. I have tried about 6 test calls with no issues and so has my contact on site. We have gone through the AA and been transferred and have not had this happen. They know it is happening because they do record call (Oaysis Tracer) and found one where the caller got interrupted in the middle of the message and got the above message.

Any ideas?

Peoples voices can simulate a dtmf tone,(mostly female). You may want to try and adjust the dtmf sensitivity settings.

It might also be a problem with the PAD table between your lines/PRI and your voicemail ports. If it's not loud enough you can get that kind of problem
