The Aux Ringer contacts are connected to a Bogen amp Nite Ringer connection. This has been working for years. Programmed for Night Service, Line 1 and 2 will ring over page horns.
The night ring thru page horns quite working. Testing shows two problems: 1-Aux Ring contacts don't show any short during ringing, as tested with continuity tester. 2-Shorting the Night Ring contacts manually on the amp does not produce any ring over page.
I changed the amp, and shorting the Night Ring contacts now makes sound over the horns. I recall that this same site had the same problem with the contact closure at the ksu on an earlier system years ago.
I've never had the contact closure be a problem anywhere else. Has anyone? Is there any fix for it? What would cause the ksu contacts and amp's night ringing to fail at the same time?
Thanks. Jim

Double check your programming. Probably not the problem but I try to always try the simple things first.
Yes I have seen the contacts not work before - It is rare. One thing that wears them out is sending volts and/or amperage through the contacts. They are for dry contact only. I think they will take very small mil-amp but mostly none.
Since the amp went bad too, sounds like some kind of volt/amp may have zapped it. Only fix is to replace it.....at least that I know of.
Does the amp take a Tip&Ring input? If yes, then you might get by with an ATA unit. Make the ATA ring instead of the AUX. And take the output from the ATA into the T&R on the amp.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?
