Kari's Law

Requires public telephone systems to dial 911 without dialing 9 first.

You will be hearing more about this law as state's begin to pass and adopt it.

Texas is joining Tenn.,,Illinois, Maryland in adopting this law and making it mandatory.

Please note that TransTel Hotel Systems and Business Systems are compliant with this law.

The TransTel Hotel system actually does more than what is required and sets us apart in the marketplace.

What really comes to mind is the small to medium sized hotel motel market!

The new G1E Plus with MPUN will work perfectly in this app. at an affordable price

Here's the story about Kari's law.

All of the systems we install are generally programmed this way as a matter of course. Sometimes, though, you put in a system for a bunch that can't seem to grasp it and make a lot of mistaken calls to 911. User training becomes more important in this case, namely if you call 911 by mistake, stay on the line and admit your mistake.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

The easiest way to fix the whole problem is to create a hotel/motel/elevator/swimming pool/whatever phone that has a prominent red "911" button on the front, near the dial, which, when pressed, sends the appropriate string of digits, whatever they may be, to the local PSAP. In quantities of millions, the cost per tel set would be de minimus. Lots of phones have a so-called "TAP" button, for recall, a feature that perhaps 15 people in the USA understood and/or used last year. The 911 auto-dial circuit board and button could not possibly cost that much more than the unnecessary TAP feature.
