I swapped out a dead TVS100 to a TVA50 on a KXTD1232.
It was fairly simple configuration and it seemed to go ok. 2 custom service menus, 1 day and 1 night. They use the same company greeting with the only difference is at night calls go straight to the VM instead of the extension 1st.
I can't get the KXTD to change to Night service or synch the time? The TVA is set to synchronize The TVA is set to PBX CONTROL The TVA is set to KXTD DPITS integration. If I let the timer do the change it works fine but if I use PBX control the phones go into night but not the TVA
I must have missed something but Panasonic Tech support line won't talk about the TD series anymore.
Thanks for any clues.

The td1232 won't change the custom service that the TVA plays. It will only change the ring pattern from ringing extensions, to ringing directly to voicemail.
You'll have to create a timer in the TVA to match the TD's day/night times.

[ROFL] Yeah but crying too over the lost time.
After screwing around with it for over an hour, I was at my wits end and left.
I am always MUCH happier to find that the time I wasted trying on my own was merely a futile attempt to do what the boss shouldn't have sold them on to begin with. I am a big believer in when the Box barfs,,,,,, replace it in as close to what they had before as you can PRIOR to attempting uhh..... "improvements"
This stuff can be hard enough without getting the impossible added on top. I tend to be a problematic tinkerer that tends to spend too much time looking for work arounds.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Too late with some info here....but FYI.. the KX-TD has to be a version 5,6, or 7 to communicate to the VM it's in Night mode / utilize "PBX Control" in VM. Customer's is probably earlier version.....and the fact they had a TVS100 would point to that as I believe it was an earlier version of the TVS series. (Side note: Can't handle the slowwww speaking Digital Debbie on those H.D. versions)

Use the TVA to change from day to night. The only thing a TD1232 does for night is change the ringing and control of door boxes. It will not change the TVA from day and night. Schedule the change in the SERVICE by placing the lines say in service 1. Go to schedule and move the bars for the time the business is open. IE 800-1700 M-F. If other questions just let me know. Your KXTD must be at least a -4 or higher. Use the TVA and just duplicate your times for day/night in the 1232. Oh set the break modes to the same so they do not actually switch.

The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask as that is the question that can make or break you. Brad
