Just noticed that today is the 23rd of Feb. 2-23-1970 is my NCSD (to all you non-Bell types, one's Net Credited Service Date is about as important as one's blood type).
So, exactly 47 years ago today I walked into #811 10th Avenue in New York and began getting paid for playing with telephones. What a scam! Getting money to enjoy my hobby!
After 30 years, I can honestly say that if the knees had held out and the government hadn't wrecked the System, I would still be working for Mother.
