I have a customer who has 2 dedicated t/r boards that they use solely for remote transfer to external numbers. They would like to use one one of the ports to access a remote auto attendant then dial an internal extension. The issue I am having is that I obviously need pauses in the dial string to make this work. We activate by using a single line phone plugged into the port, dial #33*___-___-____#. How can I add a pause from a single line device? I have tried different quantities of the * key as I assumed that this was my only option. It doesn't work. Thoughts?
I am new to this forum but I have been in the industry since 02/1997. Mainly Avaya, Mitel, Panasonic, and NEC. Glad to be here!

Give the single line extension an Authorization Code - for ease, make the authorization code match the extension number. So if the single line extension is Ext. 100, make the Authorization Code 100 as well At a multiline set, use the Auth Code to "become" the single line extension for a single call. Use the Hold button for the pause
Go to a multiline set, and go off hook on an SA button
Dial #80 - [Authorization Code] - # - *33 - 9 - [the telephone number, using the HOLD button to insert a 1.5 second pause] - #
(#80-100-#) makes your multiline set Ext. 100 for this call, (*33) is the code for forwarding (and yes *, not pound for this procedure), (9) because it's an outside call, (telephone number with pauses) is self explanatory, (#) finishes the entry.
