Has anyone setup a phone system to tie to a dictation system using SIP trunks? We have a customer with a Toshiba CIX670 upgrading their dictation system. This seems fairly simple using SIP extensions off the PBX but not so much using SIP trunks. The dictation system will need to be accessed internally and externally by dialing a DID number. They have an option of supplying a media gateway and using analog ports off the Toshiba. Thanks

Can't see any reason why you can register a SIP extension from the dictation system as a trunk on the CIX670.
You will just need to be able to Wireshark the MIPU card so you can see what is happening between the 2 systems.
