I have not programmed a DX80 in 4 years. I recently got a call from an old customer looking to make some VM changes.

I now have a laptop with only USB ports and Win 10

I can get the USB port to be Com2 no problem, but keylink will not connect.

Does it work with Win 10?

I have tried running it in compatibility mode XP serv Pk 2 & 3

No luck.

Any thoughts?

I haven't tried windows 10. I know that in general serial ports and windows 10 don't always agree. I know that keylink can be figity with usb to serial connections as well.

I have seen issues with Win10 and serial ports also. I keep a couple of old XP notebooks and a netbook just for these old system program needs.

The issue is the USB to serial converter. Most problems I've seen were with the Prolific chipset on the cheap adaptors.

Win 10 is fine.
