Does the laptop have any firewall or network protection on it? If so, try disabling it.

Windows firewall will mess stuff up bad.

Do you have a site built with that IP 192.168.1.1? If so, then right click on the site name and choose connect via LAN. Your software needs this done once, at least. Has worked for me.
