Hello, We are installing a new NS1000 with a TDE620 Gateway cabinet. This is replacing a Comdial FXII with an Extensive Auto Attendant Tree. Has anyone prerecorded the Panasonic Custom Service Greetings using a PC then uploaded them to the NS? Do the greetings sound better than when recorded using a telephone? If so, what software did you use? What microphone? Thank You!

Yes and no. I've done it on a TVA. They sound better. I've used both Audacity and Goldwave to change the bit rate to what is needed. I find it easier to have the talent record the string of prompts then I slice and dice them into menus. The first time you do it, it's gonna be slow, but after a while, you'll get the hang of it. My goto mic is a Samson C01U.

Unless you have a mic already, some of the better mics are harder to get right now.
