I have a KX-NS700 that is running on V4.3 (Rev. 330)that I plan on upgrading to V9 to unlock all it's features. According to a bulletin I read a prep tool is required to jump that far forward due to memory...

Upgrade of an NS700/G to anything higher than v4.4xxxx requires more memory than any previous version.
Due to this fact, you must run the NS700 New Firmware Preparation Tool prior to upgrading any NS700/G
system.

If it is the case does anyone have the prep tool available?

I can't find this tool anywhere in my files - if anyone else has it I'd like to grab a copy as well!

I have it, but I'm not sure of the best way to share it.

That's the one. So can I jump all the way to V9 using the prep tool? I've found conflicting info on whether or not it's a good idea to upgrade V4.3 to V9 directly without upgrading to say V5 first.

I think that you need to go to version 5 first, but I honestly don't remember.

The prep tool is only for Ver.4 to 5 to fix a memory issue. Panasonic fixed it in version 6 and up.
