Hello Everyone,

What is a good paging system to use with a
Partner telephone system. I have to hook up paging off of a Partner system. It will be used in a warehouse covering appox. 12,000 sq.ft.. What kind of unit or amplifier would be compatible with the 600 ohm output from the partner system? What would be some good paging "horns" to use? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am retired from Lucent Technologies, but I worked in the Central office as an Installer. My expertise was not in the small PBX-KEY systems. I read the users manual and I pretty well have it figured out how to install it. Just need some good recommendations on what vendors equipment to use.

Thanks,

Bob Emch

Viking and Bogen make a good paging system. I think Graybar carries them.

Valcom is a good system; although, it uses 4 wires instead of 2 (Bogen), Graybar carries everything you'll need.

The pagepac amplicenters aren't bad either. Very simple setup and configuration. You can initially go with one amplicenter without a controller (1 zone) and eventually expand to a controller with additional amplicenters in order to increase the amount of zones you have. The are available in 40 and 300 watt models.

I like the Valcom V-1030C 5 watt or the V-1036C 15 watt self amplified speakers. I have used them on Partner systems and they work great. No need for a paging amplifier. Two wires for the speaker and 2 wires for 24VDC power transformer. Valcom's web site can help you figure out your spacing for the area covered.
