I've got a Partner Mail VS 5 here and it crashes on about every 4th call that comes in to the system (No calls are answered and calling the VM from inside returns an unavailable busy signal). I'm hearing a LOT of clicking coming from the module, and the status light flashes green on and off, so I'm very prone to thinking that the hard disk is going bad in the unit.
I'm not too knowledgeable about the VS systems, but if it's a bad HDD, can it be replaced? If so, does is use just a standard generic 2.5" hdd (laptop computer style) or does the disk have to be special ordered with system software installed? And if it has to be ordered, do any of you know of a good place to find one?
Any excellent knowledge will be greatly appreciated!

It does sound like the VS is going bad, but if it's a VS R5 then it isn't very old.You can send it off to get repaired, or just replace it with a refurb. You might want to get a tech to look at it to see whats going on with it. That sort of problem is very hard to answer without working on the unit. I hope this helps.
