A new customer we acquired has a Legend system and wants to add external paging for their warehouse. Does the Legend have a paging port built in to one of their modules? Or do I have to use a co or sl port to get paging?

guess i could have given you more info. under aux. equip, you'll see loud spkr. enter in the trunk number you plan to use. for the extensions, you'll be able to assign the loudspeaker page feature.

An FYI, you may want to select the Co farthest from you curren Co's incase you want to add lines later. The trunks should be numbered in the 800 range.

In addition, you can assign the trunk port to sets, digital of course, as a line button, under extensions, lines and trunks, and the line button will appear on the next available button after the access or intercom buttons, and will give a "busy" indication for the paging system

Thanx for all the advice. It's funny because their original Lucent installer doesn't want to do paging in a warehouse. I know it's a no brainer just hooking up 8 speakers in series. And the customer has a scissors jack platform on site so no expense on renting a platform. 4 years without paging because the Lucent guy didn't want to do it.

I pick up allot of customers because Lucent/Avaya can't get out there for 7 to 10 days. Not much help when the customer is down.
