All right then...I have a magix processor and then the rest of the cards are from a Legend. Anyway, I have a DSS on the operator extension that keeps going out. She has an MLX-20L and the DSS is the older Legend type too. It will work for a while and then it will go out. The DSS has been swapped out 3 times, the phone has been swapped once. I think it's the port on the system but I want to make sure that I have the wiring right. With a DSS do you use 3 or 4 pairs?

3-pairs are necessary - the orange pair (568-B wiring) is never used by MLX phones. The brown pair is the additional power for the DSS.

That's the way I have it so...I'm pretty sure that it's the port now.
