On the partner acs is there a code for headset operation? I assume you have to lift the handset to answer the call but wasn't for sure! And will just about any amplified headsets work on that system? I've installed a lot of partners but never put a headset on one! Thanks

Well, if you use a headset that connects through the HANDSET connector, you're going to have to take it off hook to answer and put it back to hang up.

If you get a PARTNER BASE for your headset, you plug into the AUX jack on the bottom of the phone. The base is actually a non-dial single-line phone. It goes off hook, but the keypad of the Partner set can be used to dial the call, transfer, etc.

One funky work-around is to assign a non-working line to a set. Something like CO-24. When the user wants to use their headset, they take the handset off the hook, and set it aside. Press the odd-ball line to "hang up", press a real line to talk. Put the handset back on the cradle when they are done using the headset. Only problem is the phone appears "busy" to anyone with DSS/BLF buttons, and blocks voice announce, although the extension will still ring.

Nooo. No code. Headsets either get connected in series with the handset cord or plug into the Aux jack on the bottom of the phone. Alternately you can use a bridging adapter at the wall jack.

You must use a headset that connects to an amplifier. Most of the popular types available that connect to the handset cord will work however you do have to lift the handset to use them.

To connect to the Aux jack Avaya has a headset base unit that allows you to use many Plantronics or GN Netcom headsets. With this you do not have to lift the handset.

You can also use the Plantronics CT10 wireless by itself. Just plug it into the Aux jack.
